ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps children learn and practice skills that support communication, social connection, and everyday independence. At Aurora, we use ABA in a child-centered way—building on your child’s strengths, interests, and motivation to support steady, meaningful growth over time. Speech Therapy

At Aurora Autism Centers, our speech-language team supports each child’s communication in a way that feels natural, engaging, and connected. Using a play-based, relationship-centered approach, we help children build on their strengths as they learn new ways to share what they want and need, connect with others, and participate more fully in everyday moments.

Our speech-language pathologists collaborate closely with our ABA and occupational therapy teams to provide coordinated, individualized care. We also partner with caregivers through education and practical strategies, helping communication skills carry over at home, in the community, and across daily routines.

Occupational Therapy

Aurora Autism Centers provides occupational therapy (OT) that supports children in building skills for everyday life—at home, in our center, and out in the community. Our evaluations and treatment plans are individualized to each child and developed through close collaboration across our care team, including BCBAs, RBTs, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists. Through play-based engagement, purposeful activities, and sensory-informed strategies, our OT team helps children grow confidence, expand independence, and participate more comfortably in daily routines and meaningful moments.
Occupational Therapy services focus on skill development in areas such as:
  • Activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, toileting, tooth brushing)
  • Sensory processing
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Self-regulation and social skill
  • Visual motor and visual perceptual skills
  • Play and leisure skills
